  • Factors influencing the profit and choice of agribusiness for agricultural cooperatives in Thailand

Open Access•Anchalee Nuansri, Avishek Datta et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of International…•2024

Many agricultural cooperatives in Thailand do not conduct agribusiness and face declining profits. Therefore, this study examined the factors influencing their profit and agribusiness choices. • Impact of climate change on paddy crop failure under different water regimes in Sri Lanka

Open Access•Chamila Kumari Chandrasiri, Takuji W Tsusaka et al.•ARTICLE•Singapore Journal of Tropical…•2023

This study highlighted the severity of paddy harvest failure under various water regimes by elaborating on spatiotemporal variations, and estimating the influence of climatic variation on such crop failure in Sri Lanka. A panel data set obtained from 18 districts from 1981 to 2019 was analysed. The Unharvest Index (UI) (i.e., an index that was developed to measure the intensity of crop failure) was estimated according to seasonal water regimes fo…

Rafid Mahmud Khan, Farhad Zulfiqar et al.•ARTICLE•Local Environment•2022

Bangladesh is highly vulnerable to climate change (CC) and consequent agricultural productivity repercussions. This study aimed at exploring the difference in farmers' perceptions of CC impacts on crop production and variation in adaptation measures across the Ganges' Tidal Floodplain (GTF) region. To unlock the local level context-specific nature of adaptation, the study area covered two distinct zones of the GTF: interior zone, surrounded by th…
