    Open Access•Diego A Díaz-Faes, Ferran Vidal-Codina et al.•ARTICLE•European Journal of Criminology•2023

Objectives: To compare the observed and forecasted crime trends in Barcelona, using crime statistics from January 2018 to March 2021. Methods: We trained (seasonal) auto-regressive integrated moving average modelling (95% confidence intervals) using daily recorded crimes from January 2018 to February 2020. Open Access•Raül Aguilar, María J González-Calderón et al.•ARTICLE•European Journal of Criminology•2023

The stay-at-home restrictions to control the spread of COVID-19 led to unparalleled sudden change in daily life, but it is unclear how they affected urban crime globally. We collected data on daily counts of crime in 27 cities across 23 countries in the Americas, Europe, the Middle East and Asia. We conducted interrupted time series analyses to assess the impact of stay-at-home restrictions on different types of crime in each city. Our findings s…

  • Nefropatía terminal en pacientes de un hospital de referencia en El Salvador

Open Access•Ramón García Trabanino, Ramón Gárcía-Trabanino et al.•ARTICLE•Revista Panamericana de Salud…•2002

We have identified an important group of patients with ESRD who seem to lack a cause for their disease. Their special characteristics make it possible to suspect a relationship with the occupational exposure to insecticides or pesticides. New studies are needed in order to confirm this hypothesis
