  • Myo-ODE: Continuous-time trajectory reconstruction and risk prediction of high myopia via neural ordinary differential equations

Open Access•Na Zhao, Runze Zheng et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Public Health•2026

The global surge in childhood myopia necessitates robust screening tools for early risk stratification; however, conventional predictive models often struggle with irregular follow-up intervals and fail to capture the continuous nature of refractive development. We propose Myo-ODE, a continuous-time framework based on Neural Ordinary Differential Equations (Neural ODEs) to predict high myopia risk. Unlike traditional discrete machine learning mod…

  • Association between energy-adjusted dietary inflammatory index and increased risk of all-cause Crohn’s disease: A prospective cohort study

Open Access•Na Zhao, Fangyuan Hu et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Public Health•2026

Background Crohn’s disease (CD) is a chronic inflammatory bowel condition with increasing global incidence. Diet is a key modulator of chronic inflammation, often assessed by the Dietary Inflammatory Index (DII). However, prospective evidence linking the DII to CD risk remains limited in large populations. This study used the UK Biobank (UKB) to address this gap. Methods Cox regression models were used to examine the association between the energ…

CSR decoupling refers to the phenomenon where companies create a misleadingly positive impression of overall environmental and social perfo…

  • The impact of tACS stimulation timing on the modulation of working memory

Ruiqiao GUO, Wenrui Li et al.•ARTICLE•Acta Psychologica Sinica•2026

  • The passive storage of negative facial expressions in working memory does not affect the active state storage

Junbo Wang, Na Zhao et al.•ARTICLE•Acta Psychologica Sinica•2025

  • Air pollution is pushing wind speed into a regulator of surface solar irradiance in China

    Open Access•Y W Wang, Y H Yang et al.•ARTICLE•Environmental Research Letters•2014

Analysis in 27 cities across China shows that surface solar irradiance (SSI) and wind speed track similar decadal trends in 1961–2011, suggesting wind speed as a possible regulator of SSI. This assumption is further confirmed by the continuously widening gap in annually averaged daily SSI between windy and windless clear-sky days with worsening air pollution. Wider gaps are noted for more polluted cities and seasons. The gap in SSI between windy …
