Ethical Justification for Conducting Public Health Surveillance Without Patient Consent
Public health surveillance by necessity occurs without explicit patient consent. There is strong legal and scientific support for maintaining name-based reporting of infectious diseases and other types of public health surveillance. We present conditions under which surveillance without explicit patient consent is ethically justifiable using principles of contemporary clinical and public health ethics. Assessment of function and clinical utility of alcohol and other drug web sites
A range of recommendations arise from this study regarding the design and development of websites, particularly those related to AOD use. These include prudent use of text and information on any one webpage, the use of graphics and colours, and clear, uncluttered navigation options. Implications for future website development are discussed

This paper presents a pilot study of the treatment of atopic eczema using a cognitive‐behavioural approach involving self‐monitoring of eczema severity, recording both internal (cognitive) and environmental antecedent trigger stimuli to flare‐ups, and relaxation using imagery and habit reversal.
