  • A comprehensive framework tool for performance assessment of NBS for hydro-meteorological risk management

Open Access•Gerardo Caroppi, Francesco Pugliese et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Environmental Planning…•2024

This paper describes an assessment framework tool to analyze the performance of nature-based solutions (NBS) for hydro-meteorological risk management. The tool is based on multi-criteria decision analysis within the context of NBSs, an umbrella concept currently in focus that promotes nature and provides ecological and socio-economic benefits. The proposed tool includes the selection and application of key performance indicators (KPIs) for the co…

  • Farmers’ knowledge and use of soil fauna in agriculture

    Open Access•Natasha Pauli, Lynette K Abbott et al.•ARTICLE•Conservation Ecology•2016

Pauli, N., L. K. Abbott, S. Negrete-Yankelevich, and P. Andrés. 2016. Farmers’ knowledge and use of soil fauna in agriculture: a worldwide review. Ecology and Society 21(3):19.http://dx.doi.org/10.5751/ES-08597-210319

  • The role of age, working memory, and response inhibition in deviance distraction

Alicia Leiva, Pilar Andrés et al.•ARTICLE•Developmental Psychology•2016•Cited by: 1•References: 6

Sounds deviating from an otherwise repeated or structured sequence capture attention and affect performance in an ongoing visual task negatively, testament to the balance between selective attention and change detection. Although deviance distraction has been the object of much research, its modulation across the life span has been more scarcely addressed. Recent findings suggest possible connections with working memory and response inhibition. I…

  • Factores que afectan la eficiencia técnica y asignativa en el sector cafetero colombiano

    Open Access•Pilar Andrés, Perdomo Jorge Andrés et al.•ARTICLE•Revista Desarrollo y Sociedad•2007•Cited by: 2•References: 3

Technical and Allocative efficiency are relative concepts, first it is used conventionally, to know if a producer obtain the maximum level of production, according to the amount of inputs used in the process. The second looks for to know if the producer uses the optimal amounts of inputs in the production process, according to the prices of these production factors. This study use microeconomic data on coffee producers of the Caldas, Quindío and …

  • Age-Related Differences in Supervisory Attentional System Functions

Pilar Andrés, Martial Van Der Linden•ARTICLE•The Journals of Gerontology…•2000•Cited by: 2

The authors explored the effect of age on executive functions by using 3 tasks (Tower of London, Hayling, and Brixton tests) designed to assess specific executive processes (planning, inhibition, and abstraction of logical rules) that were also sensitive to frontal dysfunction. The performance of elderly participants (n = 48) was significantly poorer than that of young participants (n = 47) in all 3 tasks. Processing speed, measured by means of a…
