Research on the carbon emission reduction effects of green finance in the context of environment regulations
The rise in carbon emissions has significantly aggravated issues related to climate change. In light of this background, there has been a strong focus on using financial methods to reduce carbon emissions. Based on panel data for China for the period 2003–2019, we examine the effects of green finance on carbon emissions and the moderating effects of environmental regulations. This paper aims to study the gender inequality in the health impacts of energy poverty. Using the Chinese Family Panel Studies (CFPS) 2018 data, we examine the gender heterogeneous effects of energy poverty on residents' health. The empirical results indicate that energy poverty would increase the ratio of respiratory disease, hospitalization as well as the healthcare expenditure. The effects are moderated by housework time. Moreover, we explore …

A two-step approach to planning new facilities towards equal accessibility
A recent advancement in location-allocation modeling proposes a new objective of minimizing inequality of accessibility. Existing work considers the planning problem as either selecting new sites or adjusting facility capacities, separately. This paper develops a two-step hybrid approach to the problem by optimizing both locations and capacities of facilities towards equal accessibility. A genetic algorithm is first employed to find the best loca…
Phenolic Constituents From Sarcopyramis Nepalensis and Their Α-Glucosidase Inhibitory Activity
Background: This study was carried out to fully investigate the phenolic chemical constituents of Sarcopyramis nepalensis and determine their α-glucosidase inhibitory activity. Materials and Methods: S. nepalensis was extracted using the ultrasonic assistant extraction (UAE) method and further fractionated with petroleum ether (PE), chloroform (CHCl3), ethyl acetate (EtOAc) and n-butanol (n-BuOH), respectively. The active fraction was chromatogra…
A Causal Model of Hopelessness Depression in Chinese Undergraduate Students
The diathesis-stress component hypothesis and the mediational role of hopelessness proposed by the hopelessness theory of depression were tested using data from a 16-week longitudinal study of Chinese university undergraduates. Participants ( N = 240) completed self-report measures assessing attributional style, negative life events, hopelessness, and hopelessness depression symptoms at 3 time points. The diathesis-stress hypothesis was tested us…
Intraurban Location of Producer Services in Guangzhou, China
The location of producer services has significant implications on the restructuring of the urban landscape. It is well documented that the growth of producer services in advanced economies has tended to be highly concentrated in the city proper, while at the same time demonstrating a prevailing tendency toward decentralization in recent years because of the development of information and communication technology. Producer services have been growi…
