  • A graph convolutional network for predicting Covid-19 dynamics in 190 regions/countries

Open Access•Sumiko Anno, Tsubasa Hirakawa et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Public Health•2022

Introduction: railways and a major international airport. COVID-19 will remain a threat until safe and effective vaccines and antiviral drugs have been developed, distributed, and administered on a global scale. Thus, there is urgent need to establish effective implementation of preemptive non-pharmaceutical interventions for appropriate prevention and control strategies, and predicting future COVID-19 cases is required to monitor and control the…

  • Effect of Perceived Accessibility to Open Spaces on Social Inequalities in Health

Open Access•Shinya Yasumoto, Tomoki Nakaya•ARTICLE•Japanese Journal of Human Geography•2021

  • Effect of Ambient Temperature on Daily Nebulized Asthma Hospital Visits in a Tropical City of Dhaka, Bangladesh

Open Access•Ayesha Ferdosi Kabir, Chris Fook Sheng Ng et al.•ARTICLE•International Journal of…•2021

The acute effect of temperature on asthma morbidity in Bangladesh is not well understood. As climate varies extensively in different parts of the world, the relation between temperature and asthma might also differ. We investigated the association between temperature and asthma-related hospital visits in the tropical city of Dhaka. We analyzed information from a total of 5989 asthma patients who received ambulatory care in the form of nebulized m…

  • Longitudinal Trends in Equity of Park Accessibility in Yokohama, Japan

Open Access•Shinya Yasumoto, Andrew Jones et al.•ARTICLE•Environment and Planning A…•2014•Cited by: 2•References: 25

Despite an increasing interest in issues surrounding environmental equity, much research evidence to date is based on studies adopting cross-sectional approaches which do not adequately capture the processes and mechanisms generating inequities. Longitudinal studies may better inform policy measures to remedy inequity between populations, but the few that have been undertaken have mostly been focused solely on environmental risks-ignoring access …
