  • Can Conservation Tillage Practice Increase Maize Yields? Causal Evidence From Northeast China

Open Access•Yi Sun, Xue Wang et al.•ARTICLE•Land Degradation and Development•2026

Conservation tillage (CT) has been widely promoted as a sustainable agricultural practice to enhance soil health and ensure food security. However, despite extensive evidence of its soil conservation benefits in Northeast China, whether these improvements translate into measurable yield gains at a regional scale remains unclear. Existing studies have largely relied on plot‐scale experiments or station‐based observations, lacking systematic region…

  • Synergistic effects of high-standard farmland construction and village collective involvement on farmland transfer in mountainous areas

Open Access•Yunxi Liu, Xue Wang et al.•ARTICLE•Habitat International•2026

  • Global burden of polycystic ovary syndrome among women of childbearing age, 1990–2021

Open Access•Yaping Meng, Ting Zhao et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Public Health•2025

Background The escalating global incidence of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) necessitates a thorough examination of its epidemiological trends and sociodemographic correlations. Our study bridges this gap by analyzing the global impact of PCOS among women of childbearing age (WCBA) from 1990 to 2021, aiming to inform strategies for enhanced prevention and management. Methods We extracted data from the Global Burden of Disease Study 2021 (GBD 20…

  • Relationship between future time perspective and academic self-efficacy

    Open Access•Xiaoyan Zhu, Xiao-yan Zhu et al.•ARTICLE•BMC Psychology•2025

Academic self-efficacy is a key predictor of academic performance. As college students mature, they increasingly focus on their future prospects. This study intended to further examine the relationship between college students’ future time perspective (FTP) and academic self-efficacy (ASE) by introducing personal growth initiative (PGI) and learning engagement (LE) as two mediators from the perspective of positive psychology. A total of 1387 coll…

  • An Ensemble Learning Approach Based on TabNet and Machine Learning Models for Cheating Detection in Educational Tests

    Open Access•Yang Zhen, Xiaoyan Zhu•ARTICLE•Educational and Psychological…•2024

The pervasive issue of cheating in educational tests has emerged as a paramount concern within the realm of education, prompting scholars to explore diverse methodologies for identifying potential transgressors. While machine learning models have been extensively investigated for this purpose, the untapped potential of TabNet, an intricate deep neural network model, remains uncharted territory. Within this study, a comprehensive evaluation and co…

  • The care status and factors affecting antiretroviral therapy timing for people living with HIV

Open Access•Jiongjiong Wang, Guoyong Wang et al.•ARTICLE•AIDS Care•2023

This study described the care status of People Living with HIV (PLWH) including antiretroviral therapy (ART) and viral suppression from 2018 to 2020. We recognized that immediate ART was associated with improved viral suppression. Therefore, we also aimed to explore the factors affecting the early initiation of ART. We initiated a retrospective cohort study to evaluate the care status of people living with HIV in Shandong Province. From 2018 to 2…

  • Activity-to-sedentary ratio provides novel insight into mortality reduction among male survivors of cardiovascular disease in the United States

Open Access•Yuanyuan Ding, Jiahao Chen et al.•ARTICLE•BMC Public Health•2023

An negative correlation between ASR and mortality in CVD survivors, especially in males when ASR is more than 0.18. Our novel findings provide further insights into easing the global burden of deaths

  • Comparison of three nutritional screening tools for detecting sarcopenia in patients with maintenance hemodialysis

Open Access•Xiaoyu Chen, Peipei Han et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Public Health•2022

Background: Malnutrition, dynapenia, and sarcopenia are prevalent conditions among patients with maintenance hemodialysis (MHD). They are related to numerous adverse health outcomes. The aim of this study was to compare the effect of three nutritional screening tools on predicting the risk of dynapenia and sarcopenia in patients with MHD. Methods: From July 2020 to April 2021, a total of 849 patients with MHD were enrolled at seven different heal…
