  • Evaluating urban ventilation corridor through mobile air quality monitoring and environmental justice

Open Access•Ye Tian, Qunshan Zhao et al.•ARTICLE•Applied Geography•2026

The spatial organization and configuration of different urban elements (i.e., urban form) shape the Urban Ventilation Corridor (UVC), facilitating air pollution dispersion and reducing health hazards. However, few UVC evaluations consider the spatiotemporal variation of hyperlocal air pollutants and environmental justice simultaneously. In this research, we collect air pollution data through mobile monitoring in Glasgow, UK, and evaluate UVC thro…

  • Shyness in Chinese preschool children

Open Access•Jingjing Zhu, Shuhui Xiang et al.•ARTICLE•Humanities and Social Sciences…•2026

Shyness is often linked to negative social adjustment, and children may exhibit various developmental patterns of social withdrawal behaviors at different stages. However, most current research, primarily cross-sectional, has yet to examine individual trajectories of shyness development over time. This study utilized the Latent Class Growth Model to explore developmental trajectories of preschoolers’ shyness as reported by mothers, along with the…

  • Empowerment versus pressure

Open Access•Ye Tian, Lichao Ma et al.•ARTICLE•Educational Management…•2026

Given that the practical impact of the ‘up-or-out’ tenure-track reform adopted in China's higher education remains contested, this study explores its complex effect among distributed leadership, psychological empowerment and faculty innovation. Conducting a questionnaire survey from university faculty, the study indicated that distributed leadership significantly enhanced innovative work behaviour both directly and indirectly by fostering psychol…

His worship is particularly prevalent in southern Shanxi, which is celebrated as his birthplace. This region features a notable array of temples dating from the late imperial period, …

  • Estimating intra-urban traffic CO2 emissions and assessing environmental justice using smart data

Open Access•Ye Tian, Simon Smith et al.•ARTICLE•Cities•2026•Referências: 3

Smart data, defined as digital traces that people leave behind during their daily activities, has an underexplored potential to estimate intra-urban traffic emissions and their implications for environmental justice. Here, we incorporate fine-grained mobility flows from the App (Huq) into the Spatial Weight Matrix (SWM) to predict traffic CO 2 in Glasgow City, UK. The results demonstrate that models based on customized SWM with real mobility bett…

  • Supply chain resilience and digital transformation

Open Access•Ye Tian, Lei Cui•ARTICLE•Humanities and Social Sciences…•2025

This study identifies digitalization as a key determinant of supply chain resilience. Using the quasi-natural experiment provided by China’s supply chain digitalization pilot policies, we find a significant and persistent positive effect on the resilience of firms within supply chain networks. Mechanism analyses indicate that this effect is primarily driven by improvements in firms’ information processing capacity, recovery ability, and inventory…

Open Access•Ye Tian, Jiwei He et al.•ARTICLE•INQUIRY The Journal of Health…•2025

Bundled payment programs aim to align the incentives of acute and post-acute providers during an episode of care. Prior studies of the impact of bundled payments on hospital length of stay (LOS) were mixed, and none evaluated hospital exposure to bundled payments across all payers (public and commercial). In this study, we used the American Hospital Association survey data for 2016 to 2022 to compare the LOS of hospitals that participated in bund…

    Xu Wen, Ye Tian•ARTICLE•Intercultural Pragmatics•2025•Referências: 2

As large language models (LLMs) increasingly permeate various domains of human life, their ability to accurately comprehend and appropriately respond to irony has become a critical challenge. Irony, as a linguistic phenomenon heavily reliant on contextual, cultural, and cognitive factors, places elevated demands on LLMs’ comprehension. Guided by a systematic theoretical framework, this study integrates qualitative and quantitative methods to cons…

  • Precisely constrained 134-ka strong monsoon event in the penultimate deglaciation by an annually laminated speleothem from the Asian monsoon domain

Open Access•Jiahui Cui, Jingyao Zhao et al.•ARTICLE•Quaternary Research•2024

The penultimate deglaciation was characterized by a sub-millennial-scale warm event in the Heinrich Stadial 11(HS11), termed the 134-ka event. However, its precise timing and structure remain poorly constrained due to the lack of high-resolution and precisely dated records. We present an oxygen isotope record of a speleothem with well-developed annual lamina from Zhangjia Cave, located on the north margin of the Sichuan Basin, characterizing Asia…
