  • Equipping future nurses

Open Access•Le Chen, Chen Le et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Public Health•2025

Aim: This study aimed to evaluate the readiness of nursing students in China to respond to patients experiencing intimate partner violence (IPV) and to identify key influencing factors. Background: Nurses play a crucial role in providing care and support to IPV survivors. However, limited research has examined the extent to which nursing students are prepared for this responsibility. Gaining insights into their level of readiness and the factors …

  • Do firms “free ride” under the pressure of carbon emissions? Evidence from a quasi-natural experiment in China

Open Access•Xiang Zhu, Zhu Xiang et al.•ARTICLE•Environment Development and…•2025

  • Characterization of the Particle Size Fraction associated with Heavy Metals in Suspended Sediments of the Yellow River

Open Access•Qingzhen Yao, Xiaojing Wang et al.•ARTICLE•International Journal of…•2015

Variations in the concentrations of particulate heavy metals and fluxes into the sea in the Yellow River were examined based on observational and measured data from January 2009 to December 2010. A custom-built water elutriation apparatus was used to separate suspended sediments into five size fractions. Clay and very fine silt is the dominant fraction in most of the suspended sediments, accounting for >40% of the samples. Cu, Pb, Zn, Cr, Fe and …

  • Seasonal Variation and Sources of Dissolved Nutrients in the Yellow River, China

Open Access•Yao Gong, Zhigang Yu et al.•ARTICLE•International Journal of…•2015

The rapid growth of the economy in China has caused dramatic growth in the industrial and agricultural development in the Yellow River (YR) watershed. The hydrology of the YR has changed dramatically due to the climate changes and water management practices, which have resulted in a great variation in the fluxes of riverine nutrients carried by the YR. To study these changes dissolved nutrients in the YR were measured monthly at Lijin station in …

  • AMS Measurement of 237 Np at Ciae

Open Access•Xianggao Wang, Shan Jiang et al.•ARTICLE•Radiocarbon•2013•Cited by: 1•References: 9

237 Np (≃2.14 × 10 6 yr half-life) is potentially applicable in studies on nuclear safeguards and radioactive waste migration. The atomic ratio of 237 Np/U in nature is 10 −12 or even lower, depending strongly on the integral neutron flux received by the material. As an ultra-sensitive technique, accelerator mass spectrometry (AMS) is the best for measuring ultratrace 237 Np. By extracting negative molecular ions NpO – from the oxide sample using…

  • Self-Regulation Functions in Chinese Industry Associations

Hongtao Chen, Chen Hongtao•ARTICLE•The China Nonprofit Review•2010

Industry associations are NPOs formed of enterprise members; they are an important bridge and node linking enterprises, society and the government. Though industry associations have many functions, the Sanlu incident made it clear how self-regulation is among the most crucial of its functions. Over the course of this case study we find that although industry associations have existed at each link of the production and marketing process for dairy …
