  • Site selection principles and geocomputational modeling for the imperial tombs of the Ming and Qing Dynasties in China

Open Access•Qinghua He, Lei Luo et al.•ARTICLE•Humanities and Social Sciences…•2026

The site selection and construction of the Imperial Tombs of the Ming and Qing Dynasties in China strictly adhered to Feng Shui principles, reflecting the highest funeral institution of Chinese feudal society and its cosmological and philosophical views on life and death over thousands of years. In this study, the Imperial Tombs of the Ming and Qing Dynasties of China are examined using DEM elevation data, water network data, and remote sensing i…

  • Meta-synthesis of qualitative research on comfort experiences of family caregivers in hospice care: A systematic review

Open Access•Hui Huang, Yanling Cai et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Public Health•2026

Objective: Globally, only 14% of end-of-life patients receive hospice care. Family caregivers, who bear the long-term caregiving burden, have become "hidden patients," and their multidimensional comfort experiences encompassing physical, psychological, social, and economic aspects-urgently require attention. However, to date, no qualitative systematic review focusing on the comfort experiences of family caregivers in hospice care has been conduct…

  • Intention to reduce dietary salt and its influencing factors in middle-aged and older hypertensive patients: A theory of planned behavior-based cross-sectional study

Open Access•Yaqi Wen, Xia Li et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Public Health•2026

Background Excessive dietary salt intake is a key controllable risk factor for hypertension. Despite the clear clinical benefits of reducing salt intake, overcoming the “knowledge-action” gap among patients with hypertension poses a significant public health challenge. The Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) is a powerful framework for understanding the psychological factors that influence behavioral intentions. However, studies based on TPB that ex…

  • Safety trust in intelligent domestic robots: Human and AI perspectives on trust and relevant influencing factors

Shanshan YOU, Sujeong You et al.•ARTICLE•Acta Psychologica Sinica•2025

  • Multi-dimensional factors of behavioral intention of Covid-19 booster vaccination among people having contracted Covid-19—a 7-city study conducted during the last national major outbreak in China

Open Access•Xiaoying Zhang, Hui Lu et al.•ARTICLE•BMC Public Health•2025

The BI-BCV prevalence was lower than ideal and warrants health promotion. We found that some cognitions (IR constructs of illness coherence, treatment control, and perceived consequences of COVID-19 and perceived inevitability of infection), behavior (social distancing), psychosocial factors (depression and social support), but not emotional states related to COVID-19, were potential determinants of BI-BCV. Future longitudinal studies are warrant…
