Bharat Mata as a Transcultural Icon
The image of Bharat Mata occupies a crucial place in the visual history of Indian nationalism. Emerging during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, the icon embodied a symbolic synthesis of religious imagery, political ideology, and territorial imagination. This paper examines the figure of Bharat Mata as a transcultural visual construct shaped through interactions between Western ideas of nationhood and indigenous artistic traditio…
Financial Inclusion for Sustainable Development
This study examines the role of financial inclusion in advancing Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) across 75 countries from 2004 to 2023, incorporating climate vulnerability as a moderating factor. Using panel data, 2SLS, and quantile regression, the findings of the study reveal that financial inclusion positively influences SDG 3 (health) and 5 (gender equality), while negatively affecting SDG 2 (zero hunger) and 8 (decent work). The impact o…
Artificial intelligence and ESG in resources-intensive industries
The implementation of artificial intelligence systems to ensure supply chain sustainability is increasing in numerous industries. • AI is mobilized to address specific sustainability issues in the fisheries, mining, plastics, and forestry industries. • AI has the potential to address identified issues but generally risks increasing consumption patterns of these industries, thus leading to unsustainable growth. • On one hand, AI has the ability to…

A Study of Management and Conservation of Water Resources as Today’s Need
Water, forests and land together form the earth's ecosystem, in which life is flourishing, nourishing and protecting. Water is not only the main component of the biological ecosystem on earth, but it is also the life force of the earth, the sustainability of growth, sustainability of the environment and synonymous with life on earth. Water is a prerequisite for the continuity of life, livelihood, food, security and development. It is an essential…
Hydro-Political Dynamics Between China–India–Pakistan
Transboundary rivers raise critical concerns for state security amidst contemporary ecological strain and regional geopolitics in South Asia. The challenge of ‘water security’ is underscored by the substantial reliance on transboundary rivers, compounded by the multifaceted impacts of climate change and the simmering geopolitical tensions among riparian nations, especially in the complex dynamics between India–China and India–Pakistan. This study…
Perceived barriers and facilitators of childcare providers’ physical activity
Background: Childcare providers’ work demands have been associated with high rates of stress and health conditions. Physical activity (PA) may help to alleviate some of these issues, yet few studies have explored this topic. The purpose of the study was to assess childcare providers’ PA levels and to explore their perceived barriers and facilitators to PA. Methods: This was a mixed-methods concurrent triangulation study with childcare providers (…
The Tools for Integrated Management of Childhood Illness (Timci) study protocol
Effective and sustainable strategies are needed to address the burden of preventable deaths among children under-five in resource-constrained settings. The Tools for Integrated Management of Childhood Illness (TIMCI) project aims to support healthcare providers to identify and manage severe illness, whilst promoting resource stewardship, by introducing pulse oximetry and clinical decision support algorithms (CDSAs) to primary care facilities in I…

Population Aging in India
Population aging is an inevitable consequence of demographic transitions, and declining fertility causes a rising burden of aging. The present study aims to project the aging index of various states nationwide up to 2031. In addition, the study estimates the year by which different states and union territories (UTs) will reach the Kerala levels index of aging (i.e., aged society). To conduct this study, data were gathered from the 2001 and 2011 C…
Enabling effective location-based services for road networks using spatial mining
A co-location pattern represents a subset of Boolean spatial attributes whose instances are located in a close geographic space. These patterns are important for location-based services. There are many methods for co-location pattern mining where the distance between the events in close geographic proximity is calculated using a straight-line distance called Euclidean distance. Since most of the real-time tasks are bounded to the road networks, t…
Barriers to Pediatric Mental Healthcare Access
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention approximates that 1 in 5 children experience a mental or behavioral health disorder. Pediatric mental healthcare service access cannot be improved without strong coordination between educational settings, social service providers for children, and adequate policy support. Addressing this critical child development issue is dependent on us understanding the barriers to mental healthcare access faced b…
Does environmentally responsible purchase intention matter for consumers? A predictive sustainable model developed through an empirical study
El Niño Southern Oscillation as an early warning tool for dengue outbreak in India
The generated map signifies the spatial correlation between positive ONI and dengue case index, indicating positive correlation in the central part, while negative correlation in some coastal, northern, and north-eastern part of India. The findings offer a tool for early preparedness for undertaking intervention measures against dengue by the national programme at state level. For further improvement of results, study at micro-scale district leve…
