Late Dorset Triangular Midpassages in the Canadian Arctic and Northwest Greenland
Midpassages are the most recognizable architectural feature associated with the entire Paleoeskimo period (2800 BC-AD 1300) in the Canadian and Greenlandic Arctic. Le site Arpik (JhEv-12) se situe sur l'île Qikertaaluk dans la baie de Whitley près de la rive sud du détroit d'Hudson. Sa principale caractéristique est un alignement de pierres de 60 mètres de long. Ce site découvert en 1996 nous a laissé perplexe. Le questionnement qui en découla nous a amené à le fouiller en 2001.
