Hand preference in wild crab‐eating capuchin monkeys ( Sapajus libidinosus ) in the coastal area of Northest Brazil
Handedness is a fundamental human trait, although recent research, especially on nonhuman primates, has shown that it is displayed by other animals as well (e.g., chimpanzees, gorillas). Ferro e manganês do Cercal – Odemira
Na segunda metade do século XIX a procura e a alta de preços dos minérios de ferro e manganês no mercado britânico motivaram uma euforia mineira no Alentejo (sul de Portugal), com proliferação de concessões em concelhos como, entre outros, Santiago do Cacém (Cercal) e Odemira. O artigo estima pontos ideais para os ministros do Supremo Tribunal Federal nos julgamentos de ações de inconstitucionalidade, desde 2012 até 2017. Nesse período, as divergências entre os ministros se reduziram e não se associaram aos partidos dos presidentes que os indicaram. De um lado, esses resultados ajudam a qualificar interpretações baseadas na hipótese das “onze ilhas”. De outro, desafiam interpretações baseadas no modelo atitudinal
Beyond the Depleting Model of Parenting
A great deal of scholarship investigates the effects of parenting on adults who parent. While existing literature has identified the ways in which parenting affects parents adversely, we argue that more attention needs to be paid to how having children may enhance parents' lives. Thus, we draw upon twenty-four in-depth interviews with young parents in order to investigate this process. First, we identify five ways in which parents say caregiving …
