  • Forced Exercise Blocks Learned Helplessness in the Cockroach ( Periplaneta Americana )

    For three consecutive days, two groups of adult female cockroaches (Periplaneta americana) (ns = 10) received inescapable shock. 24 hr. later one group was exposed to 10 min. of forced exercise on a treadmill while the other group received no exercise.
