Relationship of prefrontal cortex activity with anhedonia and cognitive function in major depressive disorder
These findings indicate that changes in prefrontal lobe oxygenated hemoglobin levels, a region implicated in hedonic motivation and cognitive function, may serve as potential biomarkers for interventions targeting individuals with MDD. Our results corroborate the clinical consensus that the prefrontal cortex is a primary target for non-invasive neuromodulatory treatments for depression
The association between dietary quality, sleep duration, and depression symptoms in the general population
In summary, our study suggests that individuals affected by the individual and synergistic effect of an unhealthy diet and unhealthy sleep duration are more susceptible to experiencing depressive symptoms
Multiplex influences on vigilance and biochemical variables induced by sleep deprivation
This study demonstrates that SD influences biochemical, physiological, cognitive variables, and the significantly changed variables may serve as candidates of SD markers. These findings may further our understanding of the detrimental consequence of sleep disturbance at multiple levels
The psychometric properties of positive and negative beliefs about the rumination scale in Chinese undergraduates
The Chinese versions of the PBRS and the NBRS were generally shown to be reliable and valid, but their newly extracted structures fit the Chinese college students better than their original structures. These new models of PBRS and NBRS are of value to be further explored in Chinese population
