Validity of the Allied Health Aptitude Test in a Respiratory Therapy Education Program
Scores on the Allied Health Aptitude Test and previous GPAs for 102 students were correlated with a dichotomous measure of their persistence and their GPAs in the Respiratory Therapy program at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. The multiple correlation for predicting grades was .62, and for predicting persistence was .47. Weighted profiles for the Vocational Preference Inventory were computed for 74 students in the Health Assistant and Health Associate programs of the Johns Hopkins University School of Health Services. Impact of a Replacement Birth Rate on U.S. Adult Value Structure
Consequences of a replacement birth rate would include changes in the population age distribution. This study combined estimates of these age distribution changes with estimates of the relationship between age and values to yield estimates of the impact of a replacement birth rate on value structure. Results suggest that virtually no changes in value structure should occur solely as a consequence of a replacement birth rate

A Simulation Study of the Use of Change Measures to Compare Educational Programs
Artificial data were used to assess the correlation between several estimates of average student change in various schools and the “true” impact of those schools. Results indicate that all estimates involving pretest-posttest differences measure school impact with reasonable accuracy.
