Censorship and the Australian Public
Recently the authors with the assistance of a research grant from the Sebel Company of Australia, carried out a study of attitudes held by sub‐groups within Australian society. One of the topical issues investigated was the desirability of censorship of the mass media. The results of this section of the inquiry, based on a questionnaire administered to 1,455 adults in Sydney and Melbourne, are presented in this article
Distribution of haptoglobin, transferrin, and hemoglobin types among Indians of Middle America: In British Honduras, Costa Rica and Panama
Blood specimens from putatively pure Maya and Kekchi Indians in British Honduras; Bribri, Boruca, Cabécar and Térraba in Costa Rica; and San Blas Cuna, Chocó and Guaymi in Panama have been tested for haptoglobins, transferrins and hemoglobin types, and the phenotype incidences and frequencies of genes controlling these serum proteins have been reported. On Two Bronze Spoons from an Early Iron Age Grave near Burnmouth, Berwickshire: With a Report on the Skeleton found therein
The grave was built with small boulders in two or three irregular courses with sandstone slabs as covers. The skeleton of a man lay on his right side with his legs slightly flexed. Between the hands and the skull lay, within a small area, an iron\r\nknife, two bronze spoons, the jaws and other bones of a young pig, several fragments of coal, and a small piece of wood, probably part of the handle of the knife.
