Persistence and Change in the Comparative Status of Mothers-in-Law and Daughters-in-Law in Taiwanese Families
Traditionally in Taiwan, daughters-in-law lived with their husbands' parents and, following principles of filial piety, were subordinate to their mothers-in-law.
