  • Spatial-temporal dynamics and driving forces of urban vegetation carbon storage and carbon sink in Shanghai megacity

Open Access•Yi Yang, Yang Yi et al.•ARTICLE•Trees Forests and People•2025

The 41.98% increase in Shanghai's vegetation carbon storage from 2015 to 2020 was predominantly concentrated in suburban areas. • A stable carbon sink characterizes the urban center, in sharp contrast to the highly variable cold and hot spots observed in suburban regions. • The primary drivers of the urban carbon sink shift across the region: soil conditions (central area), multi-factor coordination (transition zone), and climate (suburb). Urban …

  • Jianpi Qushi Heluo formula ameliorates podocytes injury related with ROS-mediated NLRP3 inflammasome activation in membranous nephropathy by promoting Pink1-dependent mitophagy

Open Access•Lei Yan, Qin Zeng et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Ethnopharmacology•2025

  • Ethyl acetate extract from Herpetospermun cardigerum wall. Ameliorated concanavalin A-induced autoimmune hepatitis in mice by reprofiling gut microenvironment to modulate IDO1/KYN and PI3K/AKT/NF-κB p…

Open Access•Xiao Yu, Yu Xiao et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Ethnopharmacology•2025

  • Antifungal bioactivity of Sarcococca hookeriana var. digyna Franch. against fluconazole-resistant Candida albicans in vitro and in vivo

    Open Access•Jia-Shan Shen, Zhao-Jie Wang et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Ethnopharmacology•2024

  • Oral bacteriome and mycobiome of patients with idiopathic membranous nephropathy with different tongue coatings treated with a Chinese herbal formula

    Open Access•Xinhui Wang, Xin-Hui Wang et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Ethnopharmacology•2024

  • How to Evaluate the Effectiveness of Health Promotion Actions Developed Through Youth-Centered Participatory Action Research

    Open Access•Manou Anselma, Teatske M Altenburg et al.•ARTICLE•Health Education & Behavior•2023

Most actions targeting children’s health behaviors have limited involvement of children in the development, potentially contributing to disappointing effectiveness. Therefore, in the 3-year “Kids in Action” study, 9- to 12-year-old children from a lower-socioeconomic neighborhood were involved as coresearchers in the development, implementation, and evaluation of actions targeting health behaviors. The current study describes the controlled trial…

  • The relationship of history of psychiatric and substance use disorders on risk of dementia among racial and ethnic groups in the United States

Open Access•María P Aranda, Jiaming Liang et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Psychiatry•2023

The findings indicate that having psychiatric and substance use history increases the risk of developing AD and VaD in later life. Preventing the onset and recurrence of such disorders may prevent or delay the onset of AD and VaD dementia subtypes. Prevention efforts should pay particular attention to non-Hispanic White and African American older adults who have history of other psychiatric disorders.Future research should address diagnostic shor…

  • Path to sustainable development: Does digital economy matter in manufacturing green total factor productivity

    Open Access•Xiaoli Hao, Xinhui Wang et al.•ARTICLE•Sustainable Development•2022•Cited by: 7•References: 12

In the context of the outbreak of the COVID‐19 pandemic and China's “digital power” strategy, the realization of a green shift of manufacturing has become a necessary condition to promote the economy, and the digital factor has increasingly become a new driving force. The DEA‐Malmquist index and entropy method were used to measure the manufacturing green total factor productivity (GTFP) and the level of digital economy level from 2011 to 2018, re…

  • Zinc supplementation improves glycemic control for diabetes prevention and management: A systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials

Open Access•Xinhui Wang, Wenhui Wu et al.•ARTICLE•2019

  • Old Crop, New Society: Persistence and Change of Tartary Buckwheat Farming in Yunnan, China

Open Access•Mary Temple Saunders Bulan, Joshua L Posner et al.•ARTICLE•Human Ecology•2017

  • Did the widespread haze pollution over China increase during the last decade? A satellite view from space

Open Access•Minghui Tao, Liangfu Chen et al.•ARTICLE•Environmental Research Letters•2016

Widespread haze layers usually cover China like low clouds, exerting marked influence on air quality and regional climate. With recent Collection 6 MODISDeep Blue aerosol data in 2000–2015, we analyzed the trends of regional haze pollution and the corresponding influence of atmospheric circulation in China. Satellite observations show that regional haze pollution is mainly concentrated in northern and central China. The annual frequency of region…
