Il évoque les différentes étapes qui jalonnent les restitutions et le rôle central des personnes issues de la diaspora africaine en Europe dans ce proce…
European colonization and the transmission of the Ewondo language in Cameroon and Abroad: Historical and transnational perspectives
European colonization has deeply marked the linguistic practices in different African territories until today. Cameroon, which was colonized by Germany from 1884 to 1916 and by France and Great Britain from 1916 to 1960, is formally a bilingual country with French and English being its two official languages. However, the linguistic reality of the country goes way beyond these two languages. Today, more than 250 African languages are spoken in Ca…

In 2018, they finally won their case at the Paris Court of Appeal, thus setting an important precedent in the struggle against institutional discriminati…

Refugees and the Dublin Convention: A Biographical Evaluation of Inner European Borders
The Dublin Convention defines which EU State is responsible for the asylum application of third country nationals or stateless persons. According to this Convention, the first Member State in which an asylum seeker enters is responsible for the person’s asylum procedure. It thereby stands in gross contrast to the freedom of mobility of EU-citizens within Europe. While extensive research has focused on the attempts to build up a Common European As…
