The authors empirically estimate the impact of social capital on household welfare in Bolivia--where they found 67 different types of local associations. Poverty and Social Assistance in Transition Countries
This study examines poverty and social assistance in six countries - Bulgaria, Hungary, Poland, Estonia, Russia, and Kyrgyz Republic - comparing the poverty profiles and the correlates of poverty between the two regions.
