Glymphatic system dysfunction in young adults hospitalized for an acute psychotic episode: A preliminary report from a pilot study
The glymphatic system is integral to the elimination of metabolic waste from the central nervous system and has been extensively studied in relation to neurodegenerative and cerebrovascular diseases. Emerging evidence suggests that glymphatic dysfunction may also play a role in psychiatric disorders, including psychosis and schizophrenia. This pilot study investigated glymphatic clearance in young adults hospitalized for an acute psychotic episod…
The Reforms of the Economic and Monetary Union During the Euro Crisis: The Ordoliberalisation of the European Economic Governance
This article examines the role of ordoliberal ideas in the Economic and Monetary Union (EMU) reforms adopted during the Euro crisis. Drawing on discursive institutionalism and morphological analysis, the study employs process‐tracing and discourse analysis to reconstruct the reform process. The analysis primarily focuses on the public discourses of German leaders and the documents of the Van Rompuy Task Force. The article argues that ordoliberal …
Ordoliberalism as an ideology: A Conceptual Analysis
The Euro crisis prompted an extensive academic debate on the role of ordoliberalism, a German variant of neoliberalism, in the European crisis politics. This study contributes to the debate by reconstructing the ordoliberal ideology using Michael Freeden's morphological approach. The ordoliberal ideology consists of a common core of political concepts (order, competition, freedom, power, state and Ordnungspolitik), differently interpreted by its …
Ordoliberal ideas on Europe: Two paradigms of European economic integration
Ordoliberalism is often recognized as a powerful ideational source during the Euro crisis; however, there is no pure ordoliberal vision of European integration, and ordoliberal ideas have been used to support both Eurosceptical and Europeanist positions during the crisis. This article reconstructs the ordoliberal theoretical and political debate on European integration and argues that there exist two ordoliberal paradigms of European integration:…
Eurozone Policy and Crisis
This chapter investigates the relation between Ordoliberalism and the reforms of European economic governance undertaken during the Euro crisis. First, it reviews the main reforms of the Economic and Monetary Union (EMU) adopted in the years of the crisis (the Six-pack, the European Stability Mechanism (ESM), the Fiscal Compact, the Two-pack and the Banking Union). Then, it reconstructs the Ordoliberal debate about the Euro crisis and its influen…

Materials and Methods The mummy belonged to an elderly subject and underwent canonical recognition by external inspection, digital radioscopic and X‐ray examination and computed tomography (CT) scanning. Results Plain films, CT scans and visual inspection displayed two bilateral, discrete, rounde…
