Artificial Intelligence and Qualitative Data Analysis: Epistemological Incongruences and the Future of the Human Experience
The rapid rise of artificial intelligence (AI) has inspired scholarship that seeks to make sense of the impacts of AI technology on a wide range of human activity, including social scientific research. The power of AI to synthesise literature, compile information, and generate content is well recognised, yet its performance on some core dimensions of inductive/abductive research, including qualitative data analysis, is less documented and underst…
A Phenomenological Study of Teachers’ First-Year Experiences of Curriculum Development in Christian International Schools
The purpose of this phenomenological study was to explore the experiences of eight American teachers in Christian international schools during the process of developing curriculum during their first year of teaching. In light of the purpose of the study, the following research questions framed this investigation: How do teachers describe their experiences of developing curriculum during their first year of teaching at an international Christian s…

Changes in Mediterranean climate during the Holocene: Insights from global and regional climate modelling
Palaeoproxy records alone are seldom sufficient to provide a full assessment of regional palaeoclimates. To better understand the possible changes in the Mediterranean climate during the Holocene, a series of palaeoclimate integrations for periods spanning the last 12 000 years have been performed and their results diagnosed. These simulations use the HadSM3 global climate model, which is then dynamically downscaled to approximately 50 km using a…

Note on the Antonine Wall and Ditch near Donnybridge
In Bonnybridge district, as too often elsewhere, the remains of the Antonine Wall and Ditch have in some parts been entirely effaced as a result of agricultural and other industrial operations. In the sector extending from the stackyard at Broomhill farm eastward to the L. M. & S. Railway, the present surface shows little trace of either Wall or Ditch. But, in 1880, R. Gillespie, who at that time published a revised edition of Nimmo's History of …
Notes on an Artificial Mound at Bonnybridge
This mound is situated, within what used to be the Barony of Seabegs, on land that now belongs to Messrs Smith & Wellstood, Ltd., ironfounders, Bonnybridge. It stands on the north side of the Antonine Ditch, about 130 yards west of the road that leads to Bonnybridge High Station, and is one of several apparently similar structures which are, or were once, to be seen on or near the line of the Roman Wall. The two others which survive are the Peel of…
