  • Community screening for hepatitis C virus infection in a low-prevalence population

    Open Access•K K Kyuregyan, Е Yu Malinnikova et al.•ARTICLE•BMC Public Health•2019

Overall HCV prevalence is low, except in people 60 years or older. The latter should be considered as a target group for HCV screening. The high agreement between HCV RNA and HCV Ag suggests the utility of HCV Ag testing to confirm active infection in screening programs

Open Access•A Pesci, Elena Bonali et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Cultural Heritage•2012•Cited by: 12•References: 9

  • Differences in Fatty Acid Composition between Aquatic and Terrestrial Insects Used as Food in Human Nutrition

Diego Fontaneto, Mila Tommaseo-Ponzetta et al.•ARTICLE•Ecology of Food and Nutrition•2011

Edible insects may be a source of long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acids (LC-PUFA). The aim of this article is to test for differences in aquatic and terrestrial insects used in human nutrition. We implemented linear models and discovered that differences in the proportion of LC-PUFA between aquatic and terrestrial insects do exist, with terrestrial insects being significantly richer in particular omega-6 fatty acids. In conclusion, any kind of i…
