  • Entrepreneurs’ impatience and digital technologies

Open Access•S Basiglio, Andrea Ricci et al.•ARTICLE•Small Business Economics•2025

This paper analyzes the impact of entrepreneurs’ preferences (impatience and risk attitudes) on firms’ propensity to invest in both general and digital technologies. Using data from the Rilevazione su Imprese e Lavoro (RIL) survey, conducted on a representative sample of Italian firms, we find that impatience significantly reduces the likelihood of adopting digital investments, even when controlling for risk preferences. To address potential endo…

  • Correlative microscopy and Micro-Raman spectroscopy for enhancing the evaluation of corrosion damage in archaeological objects

Open Access•Martina Bernabale, Flavio Cognigni et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Cultural Heritage•2024•Cited by: 1•References: 34

In this work, we employed correlative imaging techniques to investigate the complex corrosion systems in nails from the Phoenician-Punic site of Motya (Sicily, Italy), combining analytical chemistry and imaging tomography across multiple dimensions and scales. To accomplish this, we used correlative light and electron microscopy, micro-Raman spectroscopy, and X-ray microscopy. The results showed remarkable differences in the condition of the nail…

  • The Copper Age Mound Necropolis in Salve, Lecce, Italy

Open Access•Gianluca Quarta, Ida Tiberi et al.•ARTICLE•Radiocarbon•2014•Cited by: 4•References: 12

Archaeological surface surveys carried out near Salve in southern Italy led to the identification of about 90 stone mounds spread over an area of about 100 ha. Systematic archaeological investigations allowed to identify the mounds as funeral structures with some having megalithic features. In the necropolis, both the inhumation and cremation rituals are evident, in some cases within the same mound. This article presents the results of an acceler…

  • The Role of Heterogeneity in Asset Pricing

Olesya V Grishchenko, Marco Rossi•ARTICLE•Journal of Business and Economic…•2012

In this article we use a novel clustering approach to study the role of heterogeneity in asset pricing. We present evidence that the equity premium is consistent with a stochastic discount factor (SDF) calculated as the average of the household clusters’ intertemporal marginal rates of substitution in the 1984–2002 period. The result is driven by the skewness of the cluster-based cross-sectional distribution of consumption growth, but cannot be e…
