  • The construction of anti-pandemic image

Open Access•Ke Li, Yanyu Wang et al.•ARTICLE•Language and Semiotic Studies•2024•References: 17

The pandemic has attracted extensive media attention around the world. In reports on the pandemic, metaphors are widely used to frame pandemic events through cross-domain mappings.

  • Vegetation disturbances characterization in the Tibetan Plateau from 1986 to 2018 using Landsat time series and field observations

Open Access•Yanyu Wang, Ziqiang Ma et al.•ARTICLE•Environmental Research Letters•2022

Disturbances in vegetated land could dramatically affect the process of vegetation growth and reshape the land cover state. The overall greenup of vegetation on the Tibetan Plateau (TP) has almost served as a consensus to date. However, we still lack consistent acquisitions on the timing, the spatial patterns, and the temporal frequency of vegetation disturbance over the TP, limiting the capacity for planning land management strategies. Therefore…

These findings contribute to society and government better understand the mental health status of grass-roots civil servants and provide references and guidance for the form…

  • Formation and dissipation dynamics of the Asian tropopause aerosol layer

Open Access•Qianshan He, Jianzhong Ma et al.•ARTICLE•Environmental Research Letters•2020

The Asian tropopause aerosol layer (ATAL) is characterized by enhanced aerosol concentrations in the Asian summer monsoon anticyclone in the upper troposphere and lower stratosphere at 13–18 km altitude. A growing body of evidence suggests that the aerosol enhancement is closely connected with deep convection during the monsoon. However, the origin of the aerosols is under debate, and the key factors that determine the ATAL variability remain poo…

  • Long-Lasting Sex-Specific Effects Based On Emotion- and Cognition-Related Behavioral Assessment of Adult Rats After Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder From Different Lengths of Maternal Separation

Open Access•Rucui Yang, Haoran Sun et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Psychiatry•2019

Adverse early life stress is a major cause of vulnerability to various mental disorders in adulthood, including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Recent studies have suggested that early life stress can help the body adapt optimally when faced with stressful trauma in adult life. An interaction may exist between early life stress (e.g., childhood trauma) and vulnerability to PTSD. This study aimed to evaluate emotion-related behaviors and ve…

  • Synaptic Ultrastructure Might Be Involved in HCN1-Related BDNF mRNA in Withdrawal-Anxiety After Ethanol Dependence

Open Access•Lanwei Hou, Yujuan Guo et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Psychiatry•2018

Withdrawal from ethanol dependence has been associated with heightened anxiety and reduced expression of Brain-derived neurotropic factor which promotes the synaptic transmission and plasticity of synapses. Hyperpolarization-activated cyclic nucleotide-gated channel 1 regulates expression; however, whether Hyperpolarization-activated cyclic nucleotide-gated channel 1-related Brain-derived neurotropic factor is involved in the synaptic ultrastruct…
