  • Spatiotemporal Variation and Influencing Factors of TSP and Anions in Coastal Atmosphere of Zhanjiang City, China

    Open Access•Jibiao Zhang, Yu-Mei Rong et al.•ARTICLE•International Journal of…•2022

Water-soluble anions and suspended fine particles have negative impacts on ecosystems and human health, which is a current research hotspot. In this study, coastal suburb, coastal urban area, coastal tourist area, and coastal industrial area were explored to study the spatiotemporal variation and influencing factors of water-soluble anions and total suspended particles (TSP) in Zhanjiang atmosphere. In addition, on-site monitoring, laboratory tes…

  • Seasonal Distribution, Composition, and Inventory of Plastic Debris on the Yugang Park Beach in Zhanjiang Bay, South China Sea

Open Access•Peng Zhang, Shanshan Wei et al.•ARTICLE•International Journal of…•2022

Plastic debris contamination in marine environments is a global problem that poses a considerable threat to the sustainability and health of coastal ecosystems. Marine beaches, as the key zones where terrestrial plastic debris reach coastal waters, are faced with the increasing pressures of human activities. In this study, we explored the distribution, composition, and inventory of plastic debris over seasonal and tidal zones at the Yugang Park B…

The total scale and optimism and pessimism factors demonstrated satisfactory reliability and validity. Population-based normative data and mean values for gender, age, and education were determined. Furth…

  • The Emotional Side of Forgiveness: A Cross-Cultural Investigation of the Role of Anger and Compassion and Face Threat in Interpersonal Forgiveness and Reconciliation

    Qin Zhang, Stella Ting-Toomey et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of International and…•2015•Cited by: 2•References: 16

This study examined the dynamic interplays between emotions (i.e., anger and compassion), face threat, forgiveness, and reconciliation in relational transgressions in U.S. and Chinese cultures. Results indicated that Chinese participants reported more relationship-oriented forgiveness than U.S. participants, but no distinction was uncovered in self-oriented forgiveness. Results also showed that, relative to preforgiveness, there was less postforg…

  • The current pollution status and control technology of the Taihu Lake Basin, Jiangsu Province, China

Longmian Wang, Zheng Zheng et al.•ARTICLE•International Journal of…•2010

Non‐point source pollution contributes greatly to lake eutrophication. This article explores a) the pollution status of rural southern Jiangsu and the Taihu Lake Basin; b) non‐point source pollution control; and c) vein river non‐point pollution control. Our work concerns an earthworm ecology filter, a capillary infiltration ditch, rural solid waste treatment and reuse technology. The tower earthworm eco‐filter and capillary infiltration ditch te…
