    Open Access•Catharina Widmark, Christer Sandahl et al.•ARTICLE•International Journal of…•2013•Cited by: 1•References: 6

Our results suggest that when the encounter between parents and professionals is characterised by structure and trust, it is supportive and serves as a holding environment. Parents al…

  • Barriers to collaboration between health care, social services and schools

Open Access•Catharina Widmark, Christer Sandahl et al.•ARTICLE•International Journal of…•2011•Cited by: 4

Our results show that allocation of responsibilities, confidence and the professional encounter were areas where barriers to collaboration occurred, mainly depending on a lack of clarity. The responsibility for collaboration fell largely on the professionals and we found that shared responsibility of managers from different organizations is a crucial factor affecting successful collaboration. We conclude that a holding environment, as a social co…

  • Researcher and Therapist in the Same Person - a Feasible Combination? Review of Steinar Lorentzen’s Doctoral Thesis

    Open Access•Christer Sandahl, Theresa Wilberg•ARTICLE•Group Analysis•2006

In this article, the authors discuss some of the dilemmas inherent in the combined role of being both clinician and researcher, and some central methodological problems connected to research on long-term psychotherapy. The thesis represents an important contribution to the field, which is in serious need of empirical research on long-term group-analytic psychotherapy. Lorentzen’s work has in an exemplary way demonstrated that it is possible to co…

Open Access•Christer Sandahl, Annika Lindgren et al.•ARTICLE•Group Analysis•2000

This article focuses on a research study analysing communication patterns in groups and how the group conductor may influence these. The most striking finding was the similarities in communication patterns in …
