  • A measure of spatial stratified heterogeneity

    Open Access•Jinfeng Wang, Jin-Feng Wang et al.•ARTICLE•Ecological Indicators•2016

  • Using an autologistic regression model to identify spatial risk factors and spatial risk patterns of hand, foot and mouth disease (HFMD) in Mainland China

    Open Access•Yanchen Bo, Yan-Chen Bo et al.•ARTICLE•BMC Public Health•2014

The autologistic regression model was used to identify spatial risk factors and model spatial risk patterns of HFMD. HFMD occurrences were found to be spatially heterogeneous over the Mainland China, which is related to both the climate and socio-economic variables. The combination of socio-economic and climate exposures can explain the HFMD occurrences more comprehensively and objectively than those with only climate exposures. The modeled proba…

  • Sandwich Estimation for Multi-Unit Reporting on a Stratified Heterogeneous Surface

    Open Access•Jinfeng Wang, Jin-Feng Wang et al.•ARTICLE•Environment and Planning A…•2013•Cited by: 3•References: 34

Spatial sampling is widely used in environmental and social research. In this paper we consider the situation where instead of a single global estimate of the mean of an attribute for an area, estimates are required for each of many geographically defined reporting units (such as counties or grid cells) because their means cannot be assumed to be the same as the global figure. Not only may survey costs greatly increase if sample size has to be a …

  • Environmental health risk detection with GeogDetector

    Open Access•Jinfeng Wang, Jin-Feng Wang et al.•ARTICLE•Environmental Modelling & Software•2012

  • Cities evolution tree and applications to predicting urban growth

    Open Access•Jinfeng Wang, Jin-Feng Wang et al.•ARTICLE•Population and Environment•2012•Cited by: 3•References: 15

  • Adaptive modeling of the human-environment relationship applied to estimation of the population carrying capacity in an earthquake zone

    Open Access•Jinfeng Wang, Jin-Feng Wang et al.•ARTICLE•Population and Environment•2012•References: 15

  • Assessing local determinants of neural tube defects in the Heshun Region, Shanxi Province, China

    Open Access•Jinfeng Wang, Jin-Feng Wang et al.•ARTICLE•BMC Public Health•2010

The NTD determinants in the study area are investigated and interpreted on the basis of the maps of the proxy variables and the relationships between the proxy variables and the NTD determinants. No single determinant was found to dominate the NTD occurrence in the study area. Villages where NTD rates are significantly linked to environmental determinants are identified (some places are more closely linked to certain environmental factors than ot…
