    In the Afro-Atlantic city of Lagos, Africans birthed sexualities in slavery and colonialism. Sex undergirded the politics of emancipation, imperial subjecthood, urbanization, and social differentiation.     This article recovers the Afropolitan histories of Liberated Africans by examining their mobility and freedom politics.
