Survey of Adherence with Covid-19 Prevention Behaviors During the 2020 Thanksgiving and Winter Holidays Among Members of the Covid-19 Community Research Partnership
Prevention behaviors represent important public health tools to limit spread of SARS-CoV-2. Adherence with recommended public health prevention behaviors among 20000 + members of a COVID-19 syndromic surveillance cohort from the mid-Atlantic and southeastern United States was assessed via electronic survey following the 2020 Thanksgiving and winter holiday (WH) seasons. Roll Back Malaria recently recommended a policy of universal coverage with insecticide-treated nets (ITNs) so that all age groups can benefit from protection against malaria. Countries adopting the 'universal access' policy include Zambia. Policy implementation in many settings involves mass distribution of free ITNs to achieve a measure of universal coverage. Assessing effects of a media campaign on HIV/Aids awareness and prevention in Nigeria
The VISION Project reached a large portion of the population and exposure to mass media programs about reproductive health and HIV prevention topics can help increase HIV/AIDS awareness. Programs that target rural populations, females, and unmarried individuals, and disseminate information on where to obtain condoms, are needed to reduce barriers to condom use. Improvements in HIV/AIDS prevention behaviour are likely to require that these program…
Self-Reported Malaria and Mosquito Avoidance in Relation to Household Risk Factors in a Kenyan Coastal City
A geographically stratified cross-sectional survey was conducted in 2002 to investigate household-level factors associated with use of mosquito control measures and self-reported malaria in Malindi, Kenya. A total of 629 households were surveyed. Logistic regressions were used to analyse the data.
