  • Yitangkang decoction in the treatment of glomerular filtration barrier damage through AMPKα1/ZDHHC8/SLC7A11/GPX4 and TGF-β/Smad signaling pathways: A multi-omics analysis

Open Access•Jiaxiang Yu, Jinqiu Yu et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Ethnopharmacology•2026

  • A high-performance multi-scale modular-based green design studio platform for building and urban environmental quality and energy simulations

Open Access•Lu Li, Shayan Mirzabeigi et al.•ARTICLE•Sustainable Cities and Society•2025

  • Retroflex and non-retroflex laterals in the Zibo dialect of Chinese

Open Access•Bing Dong, Jie Liang et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of the International…•2024•References: 1

This paper reports on an acoustic study of the retroflex lateral /ɭ/ and non-retroflex lateral /l/, as well as on the schwas following the two laterals in the Zibo dialect. Analyses of formants measured at the temporal midpoint of the lateral and schwa segments show that the retroflex lateral /ɭ/ has a significantly lower F1 as well as a significantly larger C/V duration ratio than the non-retroflex lateral. No significant difference is found in …

  • Kin selection as a modulator of human handedness: Sex-Specific, Parental and Parent-of-Origin Effects

Open Access•Bing Dong, Silvia Paracchini et al.•ARTICLE•Evolutionary Human Sciences•2024•References: 2

The frequency of left-handedness in humans is ~10% worldwide and slightly higher in males than females. Twin and family studies estimate the heritability of human handedness at around 25%. The low but substantial frequency of left-handedness has been suggested to imply negative frequency-dependent selection, e.g. owing to a ‘surprise’ advantage of left-handers in combat against opponents more used to fighting right-handers. Because such game-theo…

  • Sam-Gan: Supervised Learning-Based Aerial Image-to-Map Translation via Generative Adversarial Networks

Open Access•Jian Xu, Xiaowen Zhou et al.•ARTICLE•ISPRS International Journal of…•2023

Accurate translation of aerial imagery to maps is a direction of great value and challenge in mapping, a method of generating maps that does not require using vector data as traditional mapping methods do. The tremendous progress made in recent years in image translation based on generative adversarial networks has led to rapid progress in aerial image-to-map translation. Still, the generated results could be better regarding quality, accuracy, a…

  • Buildings-to-distribution-network integration for coordinated voltage regulation and building energy management via distributed resource flexibility

Open Access•Hannah Fontenot, Krishna Sandeep Ayyagari et al.•ARTICLE•Sustainable Cities and Society•2021

    Open Access•Chien Chen, T Dietz et al.•ARTICLE•Energy Research & Social Science•2021•Cited by: 3•References: 5

  • Household appliance recognition through a Bayes classification model

Open Access•Da Yan, Yuan Jin et al.•ARTICLE•Sustainable Cities and Society•2019

  • Market and behavior driven predictive energy management for residential buildings

Open Access•Amin Mirakhorli, Bing Dong•ARTICLE•Sustainable Cities and Society•2018

  • Investigating willingness to save energy and communication about energy use in the American workplace with the attitude-behavior-context model

    Open Access•Xiaojing Xu, Alexander Maki et al.•ARTICLE•Energy Research & Social Science•2017•Cited by: 5•References: 7

  • Place media events and place image communication: The role of festivals and special events from the perspective of media relations

Feng Bingqi, Bing Dong et al.•ARTICLE•Catalan Journal of Communication…•2011

This article attempts to demonstrate the significant role played by festivals and special events in place image communication from the perspective of media relations through a review of the literature referring to place image and media relations. By developing the term ‘place media event’, the authors arise a number of issues in place image communication. The authors argue that to win satisfactory uncontrolled media coverage, the importance of in…
