Julie Matthews, Tim Smith et al.•ARTICLE•The International Journal of…•2009

This paper takes the case of the proposed building of the Traveston dam on the Mary River in Australia to examine the ways postcolonial power relations are played out in city/regional relationships to further the interests of the city. • The exploited seas: New directions for marine environmental history

Poul Holm, Tim D Smith et al.•BOOK•The exploited seas•2001

Documentary records relating to the human activity, such as fishing, plus naturally occurring paleo-ecological data are analysed in order to determine the structure and function of exploite…

  • Sutural bone frequency in synostotic rabbit crania

    Open Access•Annie M Burrows, Kelly A Caruso et al.•ARTICLE•American Journal of Physical…•1997•References: 40

This study tests the hypothesis that crania with synostosed sutures will have a significantly higher incidence of calvarial sutural bones than normal crania. Sutural bones were counted in seven calvarial sutures and compared among four groups of adult New Zealand white rabbit skulls: normal in-colony (NI) controls (N = 14), normal out-colony (NO) controls (N = 12), skulls with familial delayed onset (DO) coronal synostosis (N = 25), and skulls wi…

  • Radiographic and visual assessment of alveolar pathology of first molars in dry skulls

    Open Access•J Linn, Jeanette T B Linn et al.•ARTICLE•American Journal of Physical…•1987•Cited by: 3•References: 10

There are many reports in the literature relating to the dental pathology of ancient peoples. In most instances only visual observations of alveolar lesions have been made, precluding assessment of covert dental lesions. The present paper was undertaken to compare the incidence of alveolar dental lesions determined by both visual and radiographic methods in a group of Australian aboriginal skulls. First molars of the right side were used for the …
