  • The Effectiveness of Digital vs. Analogue Teaching Resources in a Flipped Classroom for Undergraduate Focus Cardiac Ultrasound Training

Open Access•Johannes Weimer, Florian Recker et al.•ARTICLE•Education Sciences•2025

Introduction: This study investigated the effectiveness of e-learning compared to traditional teaching methods in ultrasound education, centring on a focus cardiac ultrasound (FoCUS) course for third-year undergraduate medical students. With the rise of digital teaching methods, it is essential to evaluate their impact on the development of theoretical and practical skills in ultrasound training. • Does economics override obstruction? The effects of civic engagement and climate obstruction on residential solar energy adoption in Germany

    Open Access•Lukas Müller•ARTICLE•Energy Research & Social Science•2025•References: 6

Using spatial regression models, this paper finds that the adoption rate of residential photovoltaic systems in Germany is positively associated with civic engagement, measured by the presence of citizen-led solar initiatives and the strength of a district’s social connectedness. During the second wave, adoption rates are negatively correlated with AfD vote shares, a party known for its explicit hostile stance towards climate change and the energ…

  • Tenho cantado and venho cantando in Brazilian Portuguese

Lukas Müller•ARTICLE•Studies in Hispanic and Lusophone…•2024

We investigate the well studied Pretérito Perfeito Composto ( tenho cantado ) and the rather under-studied vir + gerúndio periphrasis ( venho cantando ) in Brazilian Portuguese based on the working hypothesis that they represent functionally highly similar but competing constructions. Aiming at identifying linguistic factors that impact the choice between them, the theoretical and corpus-based analysis discovers a diverging treatment of the under…

  • European Portuguese lá

    Open Access•Lukas Müller•ARTICLE•Languages•2024•References: 28

This study focusses on non-adverbial uses of lá in European Portuguese, whose exact meaning contribution still remains an open research question. Applying a multidimensional semantics framework, the central claim is that non-adverbial uses of lá represent use-conditional items. Passing the standard tests suggested in the literature, they thus do not contribute to the truth conditions of an utterance but specify particular use conditions. It is ar…

  • Die Einwohner der Stadt Metropolis in Ionien ehren Stadthalter der Provinz oder Mitglieder ihrer Familien

Open Access•Lukas Müller, Christina Erika SPONSEL et al.•ARTICLE•Gephyra•2022
