    The Indian Mountain site appears to be a multicomponent Plains Woodland encampment consisting of a number of stone circles on the hogback that forms part of the eastern Rocky Mountain foothills of northeastern Colorado. Dates at the site range from 1120 ± 200 years B.P. to an early 2140 ± 200 years B.P. The early date is associated with ceramics, indicating a probable Plains Woodland contact in Colorado several hundred years earlier than previous…

    Occipital and lambdoidal types of artificial cranial deformation and undeformed crania were observed on 188 inhumations from the 14th century Grasshopper site. The results of a previous study were utilized to investigate possible relationships between status and deformation type.
