Cocreation across Spaces of Uncertainty
Broad Vision was a program for art/science collaboration that adopted a model of interdisciplinary learning, teaching and research. It brought together students and tutors from art and science subjects to work collaboratively on emergent projects based around a different theme each year. In this case study, the authors discuss the critical success factors and learning gained from an interdisciplinary cocreated curriculum. This includes looking at…

Could better jobs improve mental health? A prospective study of change in work conditions and mental health in mid-aged adults
OBJECTIVES: To investigate the extent improvement or deterioration in employee job security, control or workload is associated with a change in mental health. Changes in exposures and outcomes were calculated by subtracting wave 1 from wave 2 scores. Changes in mental health were regressed onto cha…
Cervical cancer screening in Australia
Lengthening the recommended screening interval to 3 years in Australia is not predicted to result in increases in rates of cervical cancer and is predicted to decrease the number of women undergoing diagnostic and treatment procedures. These findings are consistent with a large body of international evidence showing that screening more frequently than every three years with cervical cytology does not result in substantial gains in screening effec…
Job quality and inequality
Source selectivity
Artifacts made from volcanic glass have been found in archaeological contexts dating from the Late Palaeolithic (ca. 20,000 yr B.P.) through to the end of the Bronze Age (ca. 2700 yr B.P.) in the southern Primorye region of Far East Russia. A geoarchaeological survey of volcanic glass outcrops assessed the various potential sources to determine their potential for sustained exploitation. A characterization study of source samples and artifacts fr…
