Individual variation in epenthetic vowel production by Brazilian Portuguese–Japanese bilinguals
Brazilian Portuguese (BP) and Japanese have phonological repair strategies that involve vowel epenthesis in illicit consonant clusters, but whereas BP inserts /i/, Japanese inserts /ɯ/ as a default.
