Motivational Factors Affecting Fluctuations of Female Sexual Activity at Menstruation
The hypothesis was tested that pre-menstrual and post-menstrua I increases in sexual activity are due to anticipation of deprivation and rebound following deprivation (Ford & Beach, 1951). Thirty-five married women completed daily questionnaires about their sexual activity for at least two menstrual cycles. Developmental Changes in Self-Perceptions of Intelligence and Self-Confidence
Sex differences in self-perceptions of intelligence and self-confidence were examined among third through eighth graders. In third grade, differences between the sexes were small and, in the case of perceptions of intelligence, favored the females. By fifth grade, males were more likely to describe themselves as smart and self-confident than were females. These differences persisted into the eighth grade. This paper reviews recent literature concerned with beliefs and values relevant to women's careers. Changes in sex-role stereotyping, potential problems relating to affirmative action programs, and the conflict between "counter-culture" values and values of the women's liberation movement are discussed

Two studies were conducted that explored observers' perceptions of the responsibility of a victim for her involvement in a premeditated crime. Male and female college students listened to tapes of a purported victim describing a crime (either a rape or a mugging).
