    Julius Bryant•ARTICLE•South Asian Studies•2020•References: 2

This article provides a concise introduction to a group of British colonial buildings in Lahore that can be associated with John Lockwood Kipling (1875–93). It argues for their international recognition and protection. Kipling’s contribution to the architecture of Lahore as a teacher, curator, journalist and conservationist is summarised, along with his work as a designer of buildings, several of which have been described in recent literature as …

  • Quel avenir pour les bibliothèques d’arts décoratifs

Open Access•Julius Bryant, Júlia Katona et al.•ARTICLE•Perspective•2016

Public libraries in museums stand at a cross road, both figuratively and literally. Within a museum most of the flow of regular readers comes from the museum staff and art historians, while the general visitor looks on, uncertain whether they are welcome. • Twentieth Century Southern Literature

Scott Romine, Julius Bryant et al.•ARTICLE•South Atlantic Review•1998

Though the flowering of realistic and local-color writing during the first two decades of the century was a sign of things to come, the period between the two world wars was a crucial one for the South's literary development: a literary revival in Richmond came to fruition; at Vanderbilt University a group of young men produced The Fugitive, a remarkable magazine that published some of the century's best verse in its brief run; and the publicatio…
