  • Impact of the Triglyceride–Glucose index on all-cause and cardiovascular mortalities across different metabolic health and obesity statuses in US adults

Open Access•Yi Tao, Tao Yi et al.•ARTICLE•BMC Public Health•2025

The TyG index is positively correlated with mortality risk in the overall and metabolically unhealthy populations but not in the metabolically healthy populations. This finding indicates that the predictive value of the TyG index for mortality differs across populations, highlighting the necessity of accounting for metabolic status when the TyG index is used for prognostic evaluation

  • Risk factors for psychiatric disorders following traumatic brain injury

Open Access•Hanyu Liu, Yi Tao et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Psychiatry•2024

Unemployment, lower GCS score on admission, limb injury, post-traumatic coma, frontal lobe injury, onset of psychiatric symptoms during hospitalization was identified as independent predictors of post-traumatic psychiatric disorders. Routine mental health screenings for conditions such as depression and anxiety should be integrated into the care of TBI patients

  • Associations between sexual and reproductive health knowledge, attitude and practice of partners and the occurrence of unintended pregnancy

Open Access•Ruping Liu, Xiaotong Dong et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Public Health•2023

Background Although global contraceptive coverage has increased significantly, high rates of unintended pregnancy remain the current global status quo. A comparative analysis of the differences and correlations of knowledge, attitude and practice (KAP) of sexual and reproductive health (SRH) of both partners will help guide public health work according to gender characteristics and needs, and reduce the occurrence of unintended pregnancy. Methods…

  • Analysis of the relationship between body habitus and frailty of community adults in Chongqing

Open Access•Alice Xuelian Chen, Aini Chen et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Public Health•2023

Objective: Currently, a multitude of studies are underway to investigate the factors affecting the degree of frailty, with a significant focus on the critical role of body mass index (BMI). This study aims to conduct a cross-sectional survey to investigate the multifaceted relationship between multiple body habitus and the factors that influence the degree of frailty. Methods: A questionnaire survey was conducted among 840 adult residents in Chon…

  • Analysis of Factors Influencing Cultural Tourism Intention

Yi Tao, Hyukku Lee•ARTICLE•Journal of international area…•2023

  • An Evaluation Index System for Core Competencies of Specialist Nurses in Pediatric Emergency Care

Yi Tao, Tao Yi et al.•ARTICLE•American Journal of Health Behavior•2023

Objective: We aimed to construct an evaluation index system for the core competencies of specialist nurses in pediatric emergency care using the Delphi method. Methods: We preliminarily defined 3 levels of evaluation indices for the core competencies in this nursing specialty through literature review and qualitative analysis. We conducted 2 rounds of expert consultation (using the Delphi method) to screen, revise, and finalize the indices. Resul…

  • Pi-Pa-Run-Fei-Tang alleviates lung injury by modulating IL-6/JAK2/STAT3/IL-17 and PI3K/AKT/NF-κB signaling pathway and balancing Th17 and Treg in murine model of OVA-induced asthma

    Open Access•Xiao-Lu Jie, Xiao‐Lu Jie et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Ethnopharmacology•2023

Pi-Pa-Run-Fei-Tang (PPRFT) is an empirical TCM prescription for treating asthma. However, the underlying mechanisms of PPRFT in asthma treatment have yet to be elucidated. Recent advances have revealed that some natural components could ameliorate asthma injury by affecting host metabolism. Untargeted metabolomics can be used to better understand the biological mechanisms underlying asthma development and identify early biomarkers that can help a…

  • Communal breeding by women is associated with lower investment from husbands

    Open Access•Qiao-Qiao He, Jun-Wen Rui et al.•ARTICLE•Evolutionary Human Sciences•2022•Cited by: 1•References: 9

According to Hamilton's rule, matrilineal-biased investment restrains men in matrilineal societies from maximising their inclusive fitness (the ‘matrilineal puzzle'). A recent hypothesis argues that when women breed communally and share household resources, a man should help his sisters' household, rather than his wife's household, as investment to the later but not the former would be diluted by other unrelated members (Wu et al., 2013). Accordi…

Juan Chen, Xiehong Shi et al.•ARTICLE•Asian Journal of Middle Eastern…•2021

The concepts of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) are rooted in the profound traditional Chinese culture and philosophy. There is an old Chinese saying that ‘outstanding doctors can be masterful enough to govern a country.’ This means some concepts of TCM is compatible with the ones of governing political systems. At first, on the basis of the concepts of TCM treatment, this study puts forward a theoretical framework of TCM-based governance for …
