    The accelerated trend of urbanization between the last two censuses in Malaya has largely been due to immigration from outside Malaya, and principally from China. In this paper, the age structure of the urban population is discussed, and the implication of its high fertility rate to the future growth and racial composition of Malaya's population is presented
