Le contexte social lié à la désinstitutionnalisation nous a amenés à nous interroger sur l'impact des étiquettes apposées aux personnes ayant un vécu psychiatrique. Le but de cette recherche est de saisir les nuances qu'apporte la population dans les appellations suivantes: le malade mental, l'ex-patient psychiatrique et la personne souffrant d'un problème de santé mentale. This study investigated sex and physical attractiveness in evaluations of perceived promiscuous persons. Evidence for the double standard was expected, such that men would rate a promiscuous woman less favorably than women would rate a promiscuous man. Sport Volunteerism and Social Capital
This study focuses on the relationship between sport volunteerism and social capital, defined here as a resource that stems from participation in certain social networks. A position generator and a resources generator were used to measure the social capital of respondents. Given the importance of volunteerism to Canadian sport, and the need for research to understand the characteristics of sport volunteerism, a pilot study was carried out to explore the experiences of volunteers in sport. The study focused on two different sport associations (one individual sport and one team sport) in two majority linguistic localities (one predominantly francophone in Québec and one predominantly anglophone in Ontario).
