Psychometric properties of the Telepsych User Experience Scale (Tues)
PURPOSE: To develop and psychometrically evaluate a brief measure of the telemental health experience among people receiving psychiatric and psychological care-the Telepsych User Experience Scale (TUES). Acceptability of virtual therapy for postpartum women during Covid-19
Results show that 66% of women endorsed items consistent with possible depression during the COVID-19 pandemic. Only 27% accessed therapy services during the postpartum period. While 88% were open to engaging in virtual therapy services, 12% identified several major concerns with virtual therapy, namely: (1) preference for in-person therapy (2) no perceived need for therapy (3) uncomfortable with virtual therapy, and (4) lack of privacy. Perceived Susceptibility to Chronic Kidney Disease and Hypertension Self-Management among Black and White Live Kidney Donors
We found no substantial differences in perceived susceptibility to kidney disease among Black and White donors, despite published evidence that Black donors may experience greater risk of developing kidney disease than White donors. Behavioral interventions to enhance knowledge about future disease risk, attitudes, and self-care strategies among living kidney donors may be beneficial
Knowledge about Treatment (KaT) in Mental Health Services
This study developed and psychometrically evaluated a brief measure of mental health treatment knowledge ( N = 726). Scores from Knowledge about Treatment (KaT) demonstrated a unidimensional measure with good model fit, internal consistency reliability, convergent and predictive validity, test-retest reliability, and measurement invariance across gender, ethnicity, education, and poverty status
