Vocational Identity Development in Croatian Adolescents
Guided by Porfeli’s model, we conducted two studies examining vocational identity among Croatian middle adolescents. In Study 1 ( N = 770), the factor structure and psychometric properties of the Croatian version of the Vocational Identity Status Assessment (VISA) were assessed. The six-factor model showed the best fit and was confirmed across gender and school type. Subscale reliability and convergent validity were supported. In Study 2 ( N = 54…
Changes in Subjective well-being during the Transition from Middle Childhood To Adolescence
Children’s understanding of well-being related questions
This paper presents the results of cognitive interviews with 8-year-old children from four European countries–Croatia, France, Finland, and Ireland. The aim of the interviews was to pre-test a selection of well-being-related questions as a part of questionnaire development for the first European multinational birth cohort study–Growing up in Digital Europe (GUIDE)/EuroCohort. Unlike most previous studies, we focused on a younger and more age-homo…

A total of 947 pupils responded to general and specific STEM interest measures. The results show that the level of STEM…

This study aimed to offer an international perspective on the association between PBI and body mass index (BMI), perceived academic achievement, and educational aspirations, as well as the mediating role of s…

Measuring student achievement is one of the key issues when researching quality and efficiency of an educational system. Several existing studies tried to express student achievement in mathematics or science through separate tests within the particular domain. The aim of this paper is to consider the possibility of measuring knowledge in the STEM area through integrated tests and to present the characteristics of the new tests developed particul…
