Strategic Carbon Market Mechanisms and Foreign Investment Dynamics
This study examines whether China's Carbon Emissions Trading Policy (CETP) influences foreign direct investment (FDI) under staggered policy adoption. Using panel data for 260 cities from 2005 to 2021 and a two‐way fixed‐effects difference‐in‐differences (DID) approach supported by event‐study pre‐trend tests, the results show that CETP is associated with a statistically significant increase in FDI inflows. Treating carbon‐market features as cont…

Development and validation of an explainable machine learning model for predicting the risk of sleep disorders in older adults with multimorbidity
Objective: To develop and validate an explainable machine learning model for predicting the risk of sleep disorders in older adults with multimorbidity. Methods: A total of 471 older adults with multimorbidity were recruited between October and November 2024. We employed six machine learning (ML) methods, namely logistic regression (LR), neural network (NN), support vector machine (SVM), gradient boosting machine (GBM), K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN),…

Effective vertical channel selection could induce distinct effects on the firm’s profit and social warfare by selecting a specific type of advertising. The Perspective of Long-Term and Short-Term Incentives on the Business Environment, Executive Incentive Contracts, and Enterprise Innovation
Innovation is the first driving force leading economic development, and small and medium-sized enterprises have strategic significance in stimulating innovation activity and promoting economic growth. Few studies concentrating on small and medium-sized businesses examine the connection between executive incentive contracts and business innovation. Therefore, we use them as the research object in this study. We empirically analyze the relationship…

Then the targeted advertising can be directly sent to the heterogeneous consumers in the segmented market by the firms. This study aims to explore the possible role of targeting precision on the market structure. This assay se…
