  • Simulation Prediction and Regulatory Zoning of Habitat Quality in Mountain City under the Spatiotemporal Evolution of Land Use

Open Access•Bohang Zhang, Jianguo Wang et al.•ARTICLE•Current Urban Studies•2025

Mountain cities play a crucial role in maintaining global ecological security. Analyzing the spatiotemporal evolution characteristics of land use and habitat quality in these areas holds significant value and meaning for the sustainable development of the ecological environment. This study focuses on Xiuning County, a typical mountain city in China, utilizing land use data from 2000, 2010, and 2020. The PLUS model is employed to investigate land …

  • Productivity Gains from Trade: Bunching Estimates from Trading Rights in China

Yunong Li, Yi Lü et al.•ARTICLE•The Review of Economics and…•2025

This paper identifies productivity gains from trade by studying the manipulation behavior of firms in response to regulatory policies on international trade in China. Bunching estimates show that participation in international trade increases firm productivity. The productivity gains increase over time, indicating dynamic learning from trading. Further exploration shows no effects on R&D investment, product rationalization, and markup. Young firm…

  • Remote sensing evaluation of Chinese mainland's comprehensive natural resources carrying capacity and its spatial-temporal variation characteristics

    Open Access•Jianguo Wang, Fei Zhang et al.•ARTICLE•Environmental Impact Assessment…•2023•Cited by: 1•References: 60

With the rapid economy development and population growth, China is facing a pressure on the high demand in natural resources. However, most of the natural resource carrying capacity (NRCC) studies considered only on a single natural element, and the data sources showed some limitations. The traditional assessment approach is difficult to provide a comprehensive level of natural resources rapidly for China. Therefore, this study aims to develop a …

  • Combined Effects of CO2 Adsorption-Induced Swelling and Dehydration-Induced Shrinkage on Caprock Sealing Efficiency

Open Access•Xiaoji Shang, Jianguo Wang et al.•ARTICLE•International Journal of…•2022

Carbon dioxide (CO 2 ) may infiltrate into the caprock and displace brine water in the caprock layer. This causes two effects: one is the caprock swelling induced by the CO 2 adsorption and the other is the caprock dehydration and shrinkage due to CO 2 -brine water two-phase flow. The competition of these two effects challenges the caprock sealing efficiency. To study the evolution mechanism of the caprock properties, a numerical model is first p…

  • Effect of Green Consumption Value on Consumption Intention in a Pro-Environmental Setting: The Mediating Role of Approach and Avoidance Motivation

    Open Access•Jianguo Wang, J G Wang et al.•ARTICLE•SAGE Open•2020•Cited by: 1•References: 45

Based on the theory of consumer values, this study aimed to examine the relationship between green consumption values and pro-environmental consumption intention by establishing a "value-motivation-intention" model and to check the moderation effect of green involvement. In total, 741 shoppers were recruited. Data analyses showed that (a) green consumption values positively influenced pro-environmental consumption intention; (b) the behavioral ap…
