    This paper explores Mexico’s relationship with the World Cup, from 1930 to 2018. Though a regular competitor, having missed very few final tournaments, Mexico failed to deliver remarkable results.     The practice of parkour in urban spaces by young people, especially those who call themselves traceurs ("plotters"), illustrates how identities are formed in an ephemeral way by reinterpreting spaces in the city - briefly and without leaving a trace.
