Open Access•Graciela Corral de Zubielqui, Howard Harris•ARTICLE•Journal of Business Ethics•2024

The COVID-19 virus was unveiled to the world as a health crisis and later also as an economic crisis. For some organisations, it has become an ethical crisis. This is certainly the case for large organisations in Australia, where the way many enterprises handled a government wage subsidy called JobKeeper led to a public backlash, media pressure, and a variety of responses ranging from ‘We acted legally’ to the full return of the subsidy. Some org…

  • Episodic Refabrication of Biologically Significant Information in Script Recall

Open Access•Mike Knight, Howard Harris•ARTICLE•Social Behavior and Personality…•1993

Recent theoretical attention in the study of memory processes has shifted from the perspective of cognitive architecture to an adaptionist view. This has resulted in the formulation of questions pertaining to the brain's innate capacity to organize informat ion and build scenarios using genetic schemata to enhance the meaningfulness of material. Our study used the episodic refabrication methodology of Owens, Bower, and Black (1979) to test the ev…

The Modern Movement in architecture is dead: on this there is consensus from Right to Left. Anti-modernism, a cultural offshoot of anti-socialism, has become decidedly modish. There are, for us, two main strands to this 'Post-Modern' thinking - the populist and the patrician. Each, we argue, is a formalism, an elitist practice; above all, each is an avowed refusal of the emancipatory potential of modernism. Our critique of this resignation, this …
