  • Divergent Paths to Martyrdom and Significance Among Suicide Attackers

Douglas Webber, David Webber et al.•ARTICLE•Terrorism and Political Violence•2017•Cited by: 3

This research used open source information to investigate the motivational backgrounds of 219 suicide attackers from various regions of the world. We inquired as to whether the attackers exhibited evidence for significance quest as a motive for their actions, and whether the eradication of significance loss and/or the aspiration for significance gain systematically differed according to attackers’ demographics. • Commitment and Extremism

    Open Access•Kristen Klein, Kristen M Klein et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Social Issues•2013•Cited by: 10•References: 32

Open Access•Antonio Pierro, Lucia Mannetti et al.•ARTICLE•European Journal of Social…•2012•Cited by: 1•References: 20

A three‐phase longitudinal study (spread over a month's time) was carried out to investigate attitude's persistence and linkage to behavior as it may be affected by the processing of information about the communication source. The following three independent variables were manipulated: (i) contents of the source of information (implying the communicator to be expert or inexpert on the topic of the communication); (ii) length of the source informa…

  • Deep-level diversity and leadership

Kristen Klein, Kristen M Klein et al.•ARTICLE•American Psychologist•2010•Cited by: 2

In the special issue on Diversity and Leadership (April 2010), the authors made a strong case for the importance of diversity in workplace leadership, rejected premature declarations that workplace discrimination is obsolete, and called for leadership theories that acknowledge and promote the value of diversity. We appreciate all authors' stressing that the glass ceiling still exists, not only for women but for other historically low-power groups…
